Indie Short – Banned By Scarborough Council
The new indie film, Nasty Splurty Brains from film maker Tony Hickson, was the favourite to win Best Special Effects at the Whitby in Shorts Film Festival, only to have their hopes dashed by Scarborough Council, who decided to ban it.

The film has been banned over a row concerning licencing.

The film includes an appearance by actor/stand up Tony Hickson, who is no stranger to horror, having appeared in films such as Cradle of Fear, A Home For The Bullets and Sadistic Sams Bloody Revenge.

We hope to have more information on this shortly and will keep you posted, but for those of you wanting to see why the film was banned, you can watch it at the Abertoir Horror Film Festival, which takes place at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Wales, November 4th-8th.
