New British horror flick The Fallow Field is set to receive its Halloween UK premiere at horror film festival Grimm Up North. The bloody tale of amnesiac horror stars Steve Garry (Scuppered), Michael Dacre (Butterfly Tattoo) and Anna Reuben (Transporter 2, X-Files) and has been described as One of the most original and unnerving indie horrors I have seen. Rich, dark, scary, mind-bending fantasy that is as fascinating as it is disturbing (M.J.Simpson). The Fallow Field will join the likes of The Descent 2, Colin, Splintered and I Sell the Dead for a feast of Halloween treats at The Printworks in Manchester

The film, which has just been picked up for worldwide sales by Canadian outfit IndustryWorks Pictures, is also set to screen at the Welsh national horror film festival Abertoir in November. The story follows amnesiac Matt Sadler as he tries to retrace his steps over the last missing seven days of his life. Its a journey that leads him out in to the harvesting fields of rural England; fields that soon run red with blood. First-time writer / director Leigh Dovey said Its a dark and harrowing ride as we discover what really happened to Matt and learn with dread whats waiting for him.

The Fallow Field

Amnesiac Matt Sadler awakes alone in the middle of a wilderness with no recollection of the past seven days.

Again.

He finds his way home to discover a life rapidly falling apart: his wife is convinced he’s hiding an affair, the police are suspicious of his repeated disappearances and now he is plagued by terrifying nightmares when he closes his eyes.

As disturbing slithers of memory gradually return to Matt he retraces his steps to uncover his missing actions duringthe blackouts.

Matt’s search leads him out of the city and in to the wild hills and harvesting fields of the countryside, to a remote farm owned by loner Calham. The cold farmer is suspicious of Matt but instantly sparks a dark sense of Deja vu in his visitor.

But Calham turns on Matt, imprisoning and interrogating him, before forcing him on a terrible journey of abduction and slaughter to show the amnesiac the twisted games they used to play together.

As Matt’s fogged memory slowly begins to clear and he learns the two men share a violent history, the horrors of their past come skipping out of the darkness to greet them…
