The award winning (Best Independent Feature: Festival of Fantastic Films 2008) indie feature ‘The Devil’s Music’ is being released in both the UK and the US. It’s the fourth feature from Pat Higgins and Jinx Media, following on from TrashHouse,  KillerKiller and Hellbride.

The movie charts the descent into murder and madness of shock rocker Erika Spawn, with unprecedented access to those involved at the time, and previously unseen footage from the most controversial rock n’ roll story of the decade.

The US release is a packed DVD via Lono Entertainment (http://lonoentertainment.com).   Extras include Lost Tales of Erika Spawn Parts 1-4, The Final Tour (20 minutes of  on-tour deleted scenes), a director’s commentary and more. The release date is December 22nd.. Check out the ad in the current issue of Fangoria.

The UK release is an exciting digital release via http://www.indiemoviesonline.com.   It’s the first time that IMO has launched a new movie direct (the rest of their fantastic catalogue have usually been seen at the cinema or on DVD) and it means that anyone in the UK will be able to watch the film free, in HD, uncut and without interruptions. The good folk at IMO are backing the movie all the way with a big marketing push.   Check out the full-page ad on the inside back cover of this month’s Total Film.. The film can be seen from Friday 30th October onwards!

“Ambitious in its use of the deceptively easy-seeming mock-doc format and refreshing in its complicated, not-too-pat storytelling… with characters whose contradictions ring true”
- Kim Newman

“Psychological horror at its best”

“It’s a brilliant premise, drawing on great traditions within the genre and without.    Think of it as a kind of breathless VH1 marriage of “This is Spinal Tap” and “The Omen”.”
